Special protective maintenance for boom lifts must focus on structural safety, core component functions, and electrical systems. The core principle is "regular inspection + timely maintenance," aiming to avoid safety accidents caused by protective failure.

 

I. Maintenance of Structures and Protective Components

This is the foundation for safe boom operation, focusing on the integrity of the load-bearing, connection, and protective structures.

1. Boom and Connecting Components: Inspect the boom weekly for deformation, cracks, or corrosion, paying particular attention to loose connectors such as pins and bolts. If looseness is detected, tighten according to the torque specifications in the manual. If cracks or severe corrosion occur, the platform must be removed from service and reported for repair immediately.

2. Guardrails and Safety Belts: Before each operation, inspect the platform guardrails for security and for any breaks or missing parts. Also, ensure the safety belt buckles and webbing are intact and free of wear, deterioration, or tears to ensure proper locking.

3. Anti-Slip and Cushioning Devices: Clean the platform's anti-slip mat monthly to remove oil, debris, and other debris to ensure surface anti-slip properties. Inspect the cushioning and shock-absorbing components of the tires and tracks. Replace any leaks or cracks promptly.

 

II. Core System Maintenance

Focus on the hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems, as these systems directly impact boom lift safety and protective reliability.

1. Hydraulic System: Check the hydraulic oil level and quality quarterly. If the oil level is below the standard, replenish with the same type of hydraulic oil. If the oil is turbid or contains impurities, replace it. Also, inspect the hydraulic lines and joints for leaks. Deteriorating seals should be replaced promptly to prevent hydraulic failure and boom loss of control.

2. Electrical System: Check the battery terminals monthly for tightness and oxidation. Clean the oxidation layer with sandpaper and apply anti-rust grease. Check the warning lights, operating buttons, limit switches, and other systems for proper operation to ensure accurate electrical signal transmission and avoid misoperation or protective failure.

3. Braking and Stability System: Before and after each boom lift movement, check the service and parking brakes for effectiveness. If the braking distance is excessive, adjust the brake pads. Before operation, confirm that the outriggers are fully extended, firmly grounded, and that the outrigger pads are intact to prevent the vehicle from tilting during operation.

 

III. Daily and Periodic Maintenance Specifications

Establish a fixed maintenance cycle to avoid safety hazards caused by missed inspections.

1. Daily Maintenance: Clean the vehicle body after each operation, removing dirt and debris; inspect all components for obvious damage and record any abnormalities; park on a flat, dry surface, retract the boom, and turn off the power.

2. Periodic Maintenance: Strictly follow the equipment manual, such as checking the hydraulic system pressure every 50 hours, replacing the hydraulic oil filter every 200 hours, and conducting a comprehensive structural flaw detection inspection annually to ensure that the protection performance meets safety standards.
