Spider Lift Operation Procedures

1. Preparations before Operation

1. Inspect the vehicle

①、Appearance Inspection: Check whether the overall structure of the spider lift vehicle has any deformation or damage, and whether all components are firmly connected, especially key parts such as outriggers and boom arms. Check whether the tire pressure is normal, and whether there are any damages, aging, etc.

②、Hydraulic System: Check whether the hydraulic oil level is within the normal range, whether the oil quality is good, and whether there is any leakage. After starting the engine, observe whether the pressure of the hydraulic system is stable and whether all hydraulic components work properly.

③、Electrical System: Check whether the battery power is sufficient, whether all electrical circuit connections are reliable, and whether there are any damages, short circuits, etc. Test whether the lights, horn, warning devices, etc. work normally.

④、Safety Devices: Confirm that safety protection devices such as safety belts, safety locks, and safety ropes are intact and in normal function. Check whether the platform overload protection device, tilt alarm device, etc. are sensitive and effective.

2、Site Preparation

①、Select a solid and flat ground as the operation site to ensure that the ground can bear the weight of the spider lift vehicle and the pressure during operation. Avoid using it on soft, muddy or sloped ground.

②、Clear the obstacles around the operation site to ensure that there are no people, vehicles or other obstacles within the operation radius, and maintain sufficient safety space. Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines, buildings, etc. Generally, the safe distance from high-voltage power lines should be no less than 6 meters.

3、Personnel Preparation

①、Operators must receive professional training, obtain the corresponding operation qualification certificate, and be familiar with the performance, operation method and safety precautions of the spider lift vehicle.

②、Operators should wear work clothes and safety helmets that meet safety standards, fasten the safety belt, and should not wear slippers, high heels or other shoes that are not suitable for aerial work.

③、Before operation, operators should carefully read the equipment operation manual and safety operation procedures, understand the tasks and requirements of this operation, and formulate a reasonable operation plan.

二、Operation Process

1.Outrigger Operation

①、After parking the spider lift vehicle at the predetermined position, start the engine and put the vehicle in the parking brake state.

②、According to the instructions in the operation manual, operate the outrigger control handles in sequence to extend the outriggers smoothly, so that the vehicle chassis is lifted off the ground by a certain distance, and ensure that the vehicle is in a horizontal state. Check with a level or other horizontal detection device, and make fine adjustments if necessary.

③、After the outriggers are extended, place the outrigger pads under the outriggers to increase the contact area between the outriggers and the ground and prevent the outriggers from sinking.

2.Platform Lifting Operation

①、After entering the operation platform, fasten the safety belt first and fix the safety rope at a reliable position.

②、Check whether the control buttons and operation handles on the platform are normal, and whether the displays of all instruments are accurate.

③、Slowly operate the platform lifting control handle to make the platform rise or fall smoothly. During the rising process, pay attention to observing the surrounding environment to avoid collisions with obstacles. When the platform is close to the target height, reduce the rising speed to ensure accurate arrival at the operation position.

④、During the platform lifting process, operators should closely monitor the running status of the platform. If abnormal sounds, vibrations or other signs of failure are found, stop the operation immediately, find out the cause and eliminate the fault before continuing the operation.

3.Boom Arm Extension Operation

①、According to the operation needs, operate the boom arm extension control handle to make the boom arm extend in the predetermined direction and angle. During the extension process, keep the movement smooth and avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration of the boom arm.

②、Pay attention to observing the extension length and angle of the boom arm, and do not exceed the rated working range of the equipment. At the same time, ensure that the boom arm maintains a safe distance from surrounding objects to prevent collisions.

③、After the boom arm is extended to the appropriate position, fine adjustments can be made as needed to accurately reach the operation point. Throughout the boom arm extension and adjustment process, operators should always maintain concentration and strictly follow the operation procedures.

4.Platform Movement Operation

①、If it is necessary to move the platform position at high altitude, first lower the platform to a lower height to ensure the stability and safety during the movement process.

②、Operate the vehicle traveling control handle to make the spider lift vehicle move slowly to the new operation position. Pay attention to observing the surrounding environment during the movement process and avoid obstacles and dangerous areas.

③、After reaching the new operation position, readjust the outrigger and platform positions to ensure the stability of the vehicle and the levelness of the platform, and then continue the operation.

三、Post-operation

1.Platform Reset

①、After the operation is completed, retract the boom arm to the initial position first, and then operate the platform lowering control handle to slowly lower the platform to the lowest position.

②、During the platform lowering process, pay attention to observing the distance between the platform and the ground to avoid collisions between the platform and the ground.

2.Outrigger Retraction

①、After the platform is lowered to the lowest position, remove the outrigger pads, and according to the instructions in the operation manual, operate the outrigger control handles in sequence to slowly retract the outriggers.

②、After the outriggers are retracted, check whether the outriggers are fully reset and whether all components are in place normally.

3.Vehicle Inspection and Cleaning

①、Turn off the engine, cut off the power supply, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle, and check whether there are any damaged, loose or other abnormal components. If there are any problems, record them in time and carry out maintenance.

②、Clean the dust, oil stains and sundries on the vehicle surface to keep the vehicle clean. Wipe the platform, boom arm and other parts to prevent corrosion.

4.Vehicle Storage

①、Park the spider lift vehicle at the designated storage location to ensure that the vehicle is parked stably and does not affect the passage of other equipment and vehicles.

②、Take protective measures for the vehicle, such as covering it with a sunshade cover, a rain cover, etc. to prevent the vehicle from being eroded by the natural environment.
